We decided to do some yard work. It was more of a project than expected of course but here are some pictures of the ... "Journey"
This is before we started.

Cutting down the bushes. I think I already posted some of these pictures but they are more fun with the yard work post, so lucky you, you can see them again!

You would think from this picture that Alex raked up all the leaves, but I did. TWICE!

This is after day two of yard work. This is the second time I racked up leaves. I was going to take a picture of all the bags of leaves that we got up but our ultra kind neighbor hauled them off for us. Cute huh! I think we had about five of those big huge leaf bags.
The chain saw wasn't working too well for the bushes. This was the part I am talking about when I said more work than expected. So we looked around and it was pretty inexpensive to rent an excavator and of course Alex was excited about that.


Kade loved the excavator just as much as his Dad did!!

This is after. We are going to make it look nice in the spring with out those awful old people bushes in the front. But at least they are gone now!

You know that sniffy face Kade used to make? It turned into his fake whiny face. This is what he does when he is pretending to cry. Its too bad that it makes us laugh instead of rescuing him.

On a happier not, Kade is on the go. It seems like Kade had a dream telling him how to crawl because he woke up go go going! It makes me smile to see that little body move like that.

Look who found the dvd's

I probably shouldn't allow him to do that, but it was so cute watching him take out one and a time, bang it against the entertainment center and then pick a new DVD. Oh the simple pleasures of being a mom.


This is Kade's new favorite thing. He scrunches his face up like this and then breathes in and out really quick. Its makes me laugh every time, which makes him do it again. What a funny boy I have!
I am loving this big personality that keeps getting bigger and bigger everyday!

Mostly a picture post

I never updated on the sleeping situation. The next night I thought that maybe he was waking up because he was cold. He would kick of his blankets in his sleep and then he got cold and woke up. Once he was awake I guess he decided to play. ha! I would wait for him to fall asleep so I could cover him up again. I wrote that post in the middle of the night while I was waiting for him to fall back asleep so maybe thats why I was so annoyed haha! Anyways, I fixed it by putting two pairs of Jammie's on his, plus socks and then a heavier blanket that is harder to kick off. He slept so much better the next night. And has been ever since. (Except while out of town, but I am sure you all know how that goes!) Anyways, Friday night he slept 12.5 hours! That kid amazes me.

So since Kade has gotten more mobile he is all over in his crib. You might not think its that funny since all your kids have done it too, but I think it is hilarious how he falls asleep in so many different ways.

I wouldn't call it crawling, but Kade scoots around everywhere backwards! This is him stuck under the futon. Yes I am mean and had to take a picture before rescuing him ha! Its cute how frustrated he gets when he gets stuck.

This is a castle we went to while in Colorado Springs. It was really cool inside. Its from the late 1800's. Marne even got a ghost picture! :)
This was in Manatoo Springs. (Sp?) Spring water... not so yummy. It tastes like really stale sprite. Or even worse!

This was at the mall in Colorado Springs. This guy was trying to sell Sarah at back massager thing. It was so funny to us. And the best part was the Michael Jackson wanna be in the back haha!

Advice

Ok so I need some advice. For the last month or so Kade has been waking up throughout the night to play. I don't feed him so technically he is still sleeping through the night but its getting kind of ridiculous. At first he would just get up once but sometimes he would play for over an hour. It would end up in him crying. I am sure that he decided he wanted to eat because if I am up too long at night I realize I am hungry, but I knew that if I fed him it would only make this problem worse. After a while he quit playing, for the most part, and he usually just goes back to sleep. But now he just wakes up several times at night. I think this is the 6th time tonight. He goes right back to sleep (usually) but I just don't get why he wakes up that many times! But how do I force someone to sleep??? So anyways, I have no idea why he is doing that and I am wondering if there is a way to TEACH him to stay asleep. Any ideas please??

Fyi I still love him loads! I just want him to learn to sleep through the night. It would be a plus to not have to get up and give him his binki several times a night. Our master bedroom is over the garage so there are STAIRS that I have to go up. Poor me huh. :)

Time for a new post?? Yes, I think so...

...but do I feel like it? No. So here is a cute picture to tide you over, and to not make me not feel so guilty.
By the way Kades 6 month appt went well. He is in the 30 percentile for weight now at 16.6. Length is 27 inches and 75th percentile. He is of course cuter and funner than ever! We sure love that boy!
