David Milner Skelton, my Father

The man I call Dad quietly slipped through the veil with his family by his side this afternoon. What an amazing man of God he is. In Dad's words... What a Guy!
I love you Dad, I miss you, I will try to make you proud.

We are so sorry to hear that, Alex. You will of course make him proud. That's a pain I'm not looking forward to having to bear. Let us know if you need anything, even if it's just brownies. We're thinking about you guys.

Alex, no words can make up for the pain and grief you must be going through. I have been dreading reading your blog for I knew this post was coming. My heart aches with yours...I am so sorry. I know you made your dad SOO proud! You are an amazing individual and son. I want to call you...but I will wait. I am sure you will be busy the next few days. Please call me if you need anything, and I am so grateful you have such an amazing wife by your side. I will talk to you soon. You are in my prayers.

Alex,
You are an amazing person. You're so strong, and you will make your dad proud everyday. Especially when your sweet little boy gets here. You will be the great dad that he was to you. Isn't it great to have the gospel? What a comfort to know you'll be with him again. You and your family will be in our prayers.

Alex and Danelle, our prayers are with you. I can't even imagine the saddness you guys are feeling. Be grateful at this time that you have eachother to love and to confide in. Feel free to call if there is anything you need - i'm always here for you. When things like this happen, I am reminded of how lucky we are to have the knowledge of the plan of salvation.

Love you guys, Ashley and Brady

Danelle, I am so sad to hear this. I have a crazy confession to make, There where many times I would spend very sad and missing my home. I would drive to the Bountiful Temple and then drive slowly home and would always find myself in front of that house looking at all the pieces in that tree. I again found myself in front of that home the day before I left Utah. I did not know him, but I appreciate the comfort his home gave me. A place in Utah I knew, a place I did not have to look for. He did tell an amazing story in those trees. My thought and prayer are with you.

I'm so sorry to hear of your family's sorrow and aching hearts. May joy also be with you! I don't know very much about sorrow, but some... One of the difficult and sweetest thing about it is, remembering. I sincerely hope and pray that you all will not feel alone in your tears AND laughter, while recognizing the "visits" I'm sure are in your future.
